Dr. Gholamhossein Liaghat holds a PhD, and MSc from the UMIST Manchester, UK and BSc from Shiraz University in Mechanical Engineering. Before joining to Kingston University as visiting professor in 2012, he has been working for Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran (1990-present). Dr. Liaghat acts as Postgraduate Research Director (PGRC), and Head of the Applied Mechanics Engineering group. He has taught in UG and PG programs in School of Mechanical Engineering since 1990 and has directed more than 122 MSc and 30 PhD projects and so far he has completed supervision of 27 PhDs. His work experience includes a professorship at Tarbiat Modares University, as well as several visiting professor appointments at Kingston University. He has led a number of research projects in the area of Impact mechanics and High speed metal forming and has contributed about 118 papers and 4 books to the open press.
Hamed Ahmadi, Ph.D.

Dr. Hamed Ahmadi holds his Ph.D. in Impact Engineering and MSc in Applied Mechanics, both from Tarbiat Modares University (TMU), and his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (SUT), all of them in Iran. He joined TMU as an assistant professor in 2016 and now is the head of the applied mechanics group. He works widely on impact mechanics problems especially composite structures and vehicle crash mechanics. He has published more than 30 journal articles and his research interest includes impact on composite structures, vehicle crash mechanics, energy absorbers, high strain rate behaviour of materials and impact on biomaterials.

Shahram Hosseini, Ph.D.
Dr. Shahram Hosseini graduated with a PhD in mechanical engineering from Tarbiat Modares University. He completed his master's degree in Kashan University and his bachelor's degree in Shahrekord University. He has studied the behavior of hyperelastic materials using the meshless method and has published several articles in this field.
